Everyone is afraid and not bad to have, because there is a healthy fear, which is what causes us to be prudent in some cases. Insane fear, toxic, is what paralyzes us for not wanting to be wrong and leaves us to advance. And this is the fear that we have to recognize and fight to avoid stopping point and prevent us make certain decisions.
In the workplace fear has always been used, so misnamed as motivation method. Initially Company, when what was needed were people who did not think they were just in front of the assembly, this worked, but now en time of crisis, what we need is talent, creativity and enthusiasm of the people; what we need are people they feel like coming to work and give the best of themselves. And with this philosophy, fear as a form of motivation, has no place.
The goal of the company is clearly earn money to continue living, but the key is how we earn that money. The only sustainable way to make it happen, is to create spaces where workers feel responsible to give the best of themselves. And for this, entrepreneurs, and the leaders must allow their employees that they can risk, experiment and make mistakes. If the error is penalized, there can be no innovation, and creativity, or talent. So if we want to be a good boss we have to accept the error of our employees and accompany our people in this process.
Fear occurs at all levels of the company, also senior managers, observed when we accompanied a process of coaching, they are afraid of being wrong and the power peder. The company that has understood the new form of leadership, chooses heads really are exemplary and not worry about the power, to be well up, but to achieve the best results looking down, towards their partners. These companies are having results are the new benchmarks.
You have to let people have space at our expense, the talent of our employees stand, because this talent sometimes scary selected heads, especially unsafe.
Smart boss is one who can surround yourself with people much smarter than him. To me that is the key to effective leader. Surround yourself with smart people and let it shine. You can allow not losing any talent. You have to know how to choose the leaders who let bring out the talent of its people.
