A month ago I was giving a talk at the University of Alcalá de Henares to about 50 final year students of Business Career. The idea was to share my entrepreneurial experience during the past eight years, and you convey a series of lessons that were obtained from the experience.
Maybe the point where more emphasis is put on the entrepreneurship that every one should adopt in their future career. Entrepreneurial attitude will be imperative in a tremendously competitive world and with great uncertainty. No only if you are creating your own business project, but if you go to work as an employee in a company, what is called intraemprendedor. In any professional circumstance, You must have this attitude, otherwise you'll soon be professionally dead.
Entrepreneurial attitude contains several aspects, of which I will highlight three that I think are key:
1. Attitudes protagonist versus viewer.
It is the attitude to take charge, daring to question the status quo, always proactively contribute your ideas and opinions, ambitious goals of marked. The viewer expects, postponed and postponed decisions, hoping that things work out alone, something that is rarely met.
2. Make many decisions quickly and.
Whether eres entrepreneur as intraemprendedor, you must make many decisions with little information and. With the speed at which it is changing all, is impossible to dwell on making deep analysis, because in the blink of an eye you will advance competition. Therefore, if we take many decisions and very fast way, we err on many occasions, but we will learn much more and before the rest, and so we can adjust our work and overcome our competitors.
3. Very careful observations of the opportunities and customer needs.
If we want to be the best, if we bring the most valuable and useful product or service to our client, must listen, note, be attentive, vigilant to the changing needs of our client (and this is true in any managerial position, as our client can be a consumer or a business, but also an internal department of the company where we work). Only if we detect such needs are very attentive, read articles trends, and we draw from diverse sources. If we have a short-term mentality, them opportunities they are going to escape, we will be too overwhelmed by the urgent. Therefore, to be at a higher level, we always have a long-term mentality.
