Said, Albert Einstein, that: "If you want different results do not do the same", however, and although we all know that this is true, costs us an enormous effort to implement it and get out of our routine, of our comfort zone.
Each of us have our, our refuge, that place where we feel comfortable because it is where our habits, way we behave, to relate to others, communicate…, definitely, to live.
We usually, without realizing, maintain the same conversations, react to the same stimuli in the same manner, drink coffee at the same sites, go to work in the same way, sit, when we attend meetings, always in the same places. Even the thoughts we have every day are repetitive in 95%.
Comportándonos of this Manera we feel confident, because we do not assume any risk, as know all the consequences of our actions and know how to manage them. But the price we pay for always moving within our comfort zone is high, since we do not learn and were not trained to reach new goals, the more ambitious, it will farthest. Nor do we allow our brain that we develops implementing creating new neural connections, since they are the same steps that repeat over and over again.
Out of our daily routine and do something different to what I already know perfectly control, or even something that we never imagined we could do, endangers us, so often we are paralyzed and our brain, not assume, invent many excuses, perhaps with the hope that, is the target that comes near us without us having to do anything.
All we know that out of our comfort zone is beneficial because it opens our mind and our self-esteem and power inside our power. So what can we do to get? As I see it, we have two ways: one, perhaps the fastest, that is to go small steps that do not involve a lot of effort, and that our brains represent a very small risk, faint, so that in the boycott, and repeat this process again and again until we get to expand our comfort zone and reach our goal. Another, slower but more sustainable over time, that is to go slowly breaking down the wall that surrounds our comfort zone and we have prisioreros inside her. This wall is made of our limiting beliefs -remind us that "I can not" -, our fears -They want to protect us and notifying us of the danger that lurks behind the unknown- and very strict rules for our values -we remember "who we are"- .
Either way we choose to undertake, what is clear is that if we want to become the person we want to be, do what we want to do and have what we have, we have no choice but to take the way out of our comfort zone.
