Many of the companies that contract us express the same need: have motivated teams, having a proactive attitude and willing to comply with its objectives.
Most firms use incentive programs common to all employees regardless of all that moves not the same thing. It is a common mistake to believe that money is the only motivating factor and it is not. Money is what Frederick Herzberg called it a maintenance factor, namely, if you are paying me my bad if I discourage me but are paying appropriately, long time will not continue to motivate me. So is the good working environment and good working condition; are factors that will cause if not demotivate me but if they do not have the ability to stay motivated.
So that's what really motivates people in business? The motivating factors. With these factors occurs otherwise than with previous, if they are, if they have the ability to motivate, but if they are not capable of discouraging.
The motivating factors are the following three:
A. Achievement Motivation: labeled those who need challenges and challenges in their jobs. Are always trying to get passionately achieve their goals. So these people need their jobs within the company but not routine that offers the possibility of continuous learning and professional growth.
B. Affiliation Motivation: these people are no longer so interested in achieving goals, but have a good network of contacts and be able to attend meetings and events where they can socialize.
C. Motivation Power: these people will be motivated if from the job they occupy may influence others or at least be prepared for in the near future do.
In the teams we will meet people who will belong to each of these three divisions. If we endow their jobs with characteristics, functions or skills that lead to this type of motivation will be at the summit to take them to generate better results. The idea is reviewers meet and try to identify what kind of need have, Achievement, affiliation of the power, and then offer them the necessary tools to help them cover them. This will create a team really motivated long time, with proactive and focused to achieve goals.
